Final Word
For outright betting we also recommend “Double” bets as this can help dramatically increase your returns and you can also place “insurance” bets. For example a Simona Halep @ 9.00 and a Nadal @ 4.50 to win double returns 101.25 points for a 2.5 point bet, you could then do the Double Chance Bet – Djokovic or Federer to win @ 2.25 at 5 points and/or Serena Williams to win @ 6.00 at 5 points or whatever you like to “cover” as the double bet gets closer to a win at the semi-final and final stage.
The Australian Open is also played on a hard acrylic surface so when looking for value in the match betting as well as head to head statistics it is a good idea to research how different players performed in the Australian Open and at other hard court tournaments when making selections.

- Love: This is the tennis term for zero, so all games in the US Open start at love-love. Points are then awarded as 15, 30, 40, and game, so you will hear the umpire announce the score as 15-love, 30-love, etc.
- Deuce: This is when the score stands at 40-40.

- Ace: This is when a player serves and wins a point without his opponent touching the ball.
- Fault: This is when a player serves, and the ball goes into the net or lands outside the service box.
- Double Fault: This is when a player serves two consecutive faults, resulting in a point for his opponent.
- Challenge: If a ball is called out, a player has the right to challenge that decision. A machine called Hawkeye determines whether the ball was out or not. A player is allowed three challenges per set. They lose one of those challenges if they are incorrect but retain them if they are correct.
